Ridge guard skin,tomatodal curry(beera pottu tomato dal curry)





Ingredients
Quantity
Ridge guard skin (beera pottu)
1 cup
Moong dal
1 cup
Chopped tomatoes

Green chili

Salt

Black gram
1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Turmeric
Pinch
Hinge
Pinch
Cumin seeds
1 tea spoon
Oil
1 table spoon
Coriander leaves

Curry leaves

Preparation method

  1. Wash the ridge guard and peel the skin then keep it aside. Then grind it into a coarse paste.
  2. Take the pressure cooker add grinded paste, moong dal chopped tomatoes, turmeric, and add water mix them and cook it for 3 whistles.
  3. Let the cool down the pressure then transfer to a bowl.
  4. Heat the pan add oil to fry, then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black gram, fry them well.
  5. Then add green chili, curry leaves, garlic pods red chili powder, hinge fry it all together. After that add cooked dal, salt mix it and cook it for 5 more minutes.
  6. Finally garnish with coriander leaves
  7. You can serve it with plain rice with ghee. It is very tasty...

Lemon dal




Ingredients
Quantity
Yellow moong dal
1 cup
Green chili
4
Salt
To taste
Turmeric
Pinch
Lemon juice
2 (lemons)
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Fenugreek seeds
5 to 6
Cumin seeds
1 tea spoon
Hinge
Pinch
Red chili powder
1 tea spoon

Preparation method

  1. Wash the moong dal and cook it for 3 whistles.
  2. Let the pressure cool down then transfer it to a pan and add green chili, salt, turmeric and add water mix it and cook it for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds until fry, and add red chili powder hinge fry  them well. Then put it into the dal, and cook it for 5 more minutes then switch off the flame. Finally add lemon juice mix it well.
  4. You can serve it plain rice and ghee it is very tasty.

Cucumber tomato dal





Ingredients
Quantity
Chopped cucumber pieces
1 cup
Chopped tomatoes

Tour dal
1 cup
Green chili

Red chili powder
1 tea spoon
Curry leaves

Coriander leaves

Tamarind juice
To taste
Salt
To taste
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds
1tea spoon
Fenugreek seeds

Preparation method

  1. Wash the cucumber and cut it into medium size pieces and remove the seeds.
  2. Take the pressure cooker and add wash the tour dal, cucumber pieces, and add chopped tomato and add water mix it and cook it for 3 whistles.
  3. Let the pressure cool down, then add salt green chili, turmeric, and add tamarind juice mix it and cook it for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds fry it well then add hinge red chili powder , fry  them well then put it into the dal, then garnish with coriander leaves curry leaves.
  5. You can serve it with hot plain rice or chapatti very tasty.

Spinach tomato dal






Ingredients

Chopped spinach
1 bunch
Tour dal
1 cup
Chopped tomatoes

Fenugreek seeds

Preparation method

  1. Wash the spinach in hot water and cut it into small pieces keep it aside.
  2. Take the pressure cooker and add tour dal chopped spinach chopped tomatoes, turmeric and add water mix it and cook it for 3 whistles then switch off the flame.
  3. Let it cool down the pressure and transfer it to pan then add salt green chili, mix it and cook it for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add all seasonings mix it and fry it well then put it into dal. And cook it for 5 more minutes then switch off the flame.
  5. You can serve it with white rice or chapatti very tasty.

Green tamarind dal (chinthakaya pappu)






Ingredients

Preparation method

  1. Take a microwave bowl, add green tamarind and add 1 glass of water and put in the microwave for 3 minutes. Then keep it aside.
  2. Cook it for 3 vessels for tour dal in pressure cooker. And keep it aside. Let it cool down the pressure and add water turmeric salt mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes. Then add green tamarind juice mix it and add green chili mix and cook it for 3 more minutes.
  3. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add, garlic pods, mustard  seeds fry then add cumin seeds, fenugreek powder, hinge red chili powder fry it for 1 minute then put  it in the dal  and add curry leaves mix it well.
  4. You can serve it with plain rice very tasty.

Anapakaya Pesara Pappu







Ingredients

Bottle guard pieces

Yellow moong dal
1 cup
Cumin seeds
1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Black gram
1 tea spoon

Chopped ginger
1 tea spoon

Preparation method

  1. Wash the bottle guard and moong dal and cook it in pressure pan for 1 whistle then switch off the flame.
  2. Let the pressure cool down ,add turmeric, salt and mix it well.
  3. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add black gram until fry then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hinge ,green chili, curry leaves, ginger fry it for 1 minute then add red chili powder fry it  and add smashed cooked dal and cook it for 5 minutes then switch off the flame. Then garnish with coriander leaves.
  4. Serve it with hot plain rice with ghee or chapatti.Looks and tastes YUMMY!

Chintha chiguru pappu

Preparation method

  1. Wash the tour dal and put it into the pressure cooker and cook it for 3 whistles.
  2. Then cool down the pressure and transfer to the bowl. Then add turmeric, salt chintha chiguru mix it well.
  3. Then heat the pan add oil to fry then add garlic cloves fry it for 2 minutes then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black gram, green chili, red chili, curry leaves fry it for 2 minutes then add hinge and add the dal mix and cook it for 5 minutes then switch off the flame.
  4. you can serve it with hot plain rice with ghee

Green leafy pappu









Ingredients

Chopped fenugreek leaves

Preparation method

  1. Wash the green leaves for 2 to 3 times then remove the water keep it aside.
  2. Take a pressure pan and add tour dal, green leaves and add 2 cups of water, stir  and cook it for 3 whistles
  3. Let it cool down, and add salt, turmeric, green chilies, mix it well.
  4. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add black gram fry  it until red color then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,  curry leaves, red chili powder, hinge garlic cloves fry it for 2 minutes then add the dal and cook it for 5 minutes then switch off the flame.
  5. This is very healthy and tasty dish. Serve it with plain rice with ghee or chapatti..

Spinach chintha chiguru pappu













Ingredients

Chopper tender tamarind leaves[chinta chiguru]

Preparation method

  1. Wash the spinach and tour dal and cook it in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
  2. Let the pressure cool down and then add 1 glass of water and add salt, turmeric, green chili and chopped tender tamarind leaves, stir it well and cook it for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the pan add oil, when the oil is heated add garlic cloves fry it for 2 minutes then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hinge, red chili powder , fry it for 2 minutes then mix it into the dal and cook it for 5 more minutes then switch off the flame.
  4. you can serve with hot plain rice with ghee

Mango dal (mamidi kaya pappu)

Preparation method

  1. Wash the mango cut into small pieces keep it aside.
  2. Cook the toor dal, add 2 cups of water and boil it for 2 to 3 whistles.Let it cool down the pressure
  3. Cook the mango, put into microwave for 5 minutes.
  4. Take a bowl, add toor dal, mango, salt, green chilies, drum sticks, turmeric mix it well, and cook it for 5 minutes.
  5. Heat the pan add oil, when the oil is heated add mustard seeds - until fry, then add cumin seeds,  fenugreek seeds, garlic cloves, red chili powder, hinge, fry it for 2 minutes and  put it into the dal and cook it for 5 more minutes, then garnish with curry leaves.
  6. You can serve with hot plain rice with ghee, and papads.
