Spinach chintha chiguru pappu













Ingredients
Quantity
Chopped spinach
1 cup
Chopper tender tamarind leaves[chinta chiguru]
½ cup
Green chilly
3
Red chilly powder
1 tsp
Garlic cloves
8-10
Mustard seeds
1 tsp
Cumin seeds
1 tsp
Hinge
Pinch
Turmeric
Pinch
Salt
For taste
Oil
2 tbsp.
Tour dal
1 glass

Preparation method

  1. Wash the spinach and tour dal and cook it in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
  2. Let the pressure cool down and then add 1 glass of water and add salt, turmeric, green chili and chopped tender tamarind leaves, stir it well and cook it for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the pan add oil, when the oil is heated add garlic cloves fry it for 2 minutes then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hinge, red chili powder , fry it for 2 minutes then mix it into the dal and cook it for 5 more minutes then switch off the flame.
  4. you can serve with hot plain rice with ghee
