Green leafy pappu









Ingredients
Quantity
Chopped spinach
1 cup
Chopped fenugreek leaves
1 cup
Chopped amaranth leaves (thota kura)
1 cup
Garlic cloves
8
Green chilly

Tour dal
1 glass
Red chili powder
1 tea spoon
Black gram
1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Cumin seeds
1 tea spoon
Salt
To taste
Curry leaves
Few
Oil
2 table spoon
Turmeric
pinch

Preparation method

  1. Wash the green leaves for 2 to 3 times then remove the water keep it aside.
  2. Take a pressure pan and add tour dal, green leaves and add 2 cups of water, stir  and cook it for 3 whistles
  3. Let it cool down, and add salt, turmeric, green chilies, mix it well.
  4. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add black gram fry  it until red color then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds,  curry leaves, red chili powder, hinge garlic cloves fry it for 2 minutes then add the dal and cook it for 5 minutes then switch off the flame.
  5. This is very healthy and tasty dish. Serve it with plain rice with ghee or chapatti..
