Preparation method
- In a pressure cooker, place a cup of tur dal, turmeric powder, 2 1/2cups of water and cook up to 3 whistles. Then switch off the flame. cook till, the dal is soft. Mash dal and add cup of water, salt. You can add more water if you want a liquid constancy. Cook on medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes. Turn off heat.
- Add lemon juice stir, keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,when the musurd seed pops, add fenugreek seeds, green chills, red chilly powder, hinge curry leaves, garlic cloves, fry them well.
- Add this to the dal and garnish with coriander leaves.
- You can serve hot plain rice with ghee.
