Preparation method.
- Cook the urad dal and moong dal in a pressure pan boil it for 2 whistles. Then let it cool down grind it into smooth paste.
- Take a wide bowl add rice flour , grinding the moong dal paste, ghee, salt, jeera, red chili powder ,dry coconut powder, and add water mix it make a chapatti dough.
- Take a murukulu mould and fit in the star shape disc. I used my single star shaped disc.you can use multi star press too. Grease the murukulu press with little oil and fill up with the dough.
- Now slowly press Directly into oil or on a ladle like I did. Heat oil a drop small pinch of dough to check if the oil temperature is right when the dough immediately rises to the top with a sizzle then oil is ready.
- Flip the ladle to transfer the murukku into the oil and fry till golden brown color. And drain in a tissue paper.
- Cool down in a stored it airtight container.
