Spinach (palak) mango pappu






Ingredients
Quantity
Spinach (palak)
1 bunch
Grated mango
1 cup
Green chilly
3
Turmeric
Pinch
Tour dal
1 cup
Red chili powder
1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Fenugreek seeds
1 /4 teaspoon
Cumin seeds
1 tea spoon
Hinge
Pinch
Oil
2 table spoon
Garlic cloves
6
Salt
To taste
Curry leaves
few

Preparation method

  1. Wash the spinach cut into small pieces keep it aside.
  2. Take a bowl and add tour dal, spinach and add turmeric, water into the pressure cooker and cook it for 3 whistles.
  3. Let the pressure cool down ,then add grated mango, salt, green chills and cook it for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat the pan add oil to it. When the oil is heated add mustard seeds, let them pop, then add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, hinge , garlic cloves  red chili powder fry it for 2 minutes, then add mix into the dal and cook for 5 more minutes. Then garnish with curry leaves. And switch off the flame.
  5. You can serve with hot plain rice with ghee, or roti’s.
