Raw banana (aratikaya) Upma Curry






Ingredients
Quantity
Raw banana
3
Green chilly
4
Curry leaves
Few
Grated ginger
1 tea spoon
Black gram ( mina pappu)
1 tea spoon
Chana dal (sanaga pappu)
1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Oil
2 table spoon
Turmeric
Pinch
Salt
To taste
Red chili powder
1 tea spoon
Lemon juice
To taste

Preparation method

  1. Wash the banana,cut it into medium pieces and then boil in salt, and turmeric, keep it aside
  2. Let it cool down and remove the water,smash them and keep it aside.
  3. Heat the pan add oil, when the oil is heated fry Channa dal then add black gram, mustard seeds, green chilies, curry leaves, ginger, fry it 2 minutes then add red chili powder,fry it for 1 minute and then add smashed banana, cook it for 3 more minutes then switch off the flame.
  4. Add lemon juice mix it well.
  5. You can serve with hot plain rice, or chapatti..
