Bitter guard pickle (kakarakaya)









Ingredients
Quantity
Bitter guard (kakarakaya)
3
Red chili powder
1 tea spoon
Dania jeera powder
½ tea spoon
Fenugreek powder
½ tea spoon
Garlic paste
¼ spoon
Turmeric
Pinch
Lemon juice
To taste
Salt
To taste
Oil
2 table spoon
Hinge
Pinch


Preparation method

  1. Wash the bitter guard and cut into round shapes and apply turmeric and salt and keep it for 15 to 20 minutes then squeezing it aside.
  2. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add squeezing bitter guard fry it  until red color then keep it aside.
  3. Heat the pan add oil to fry then add cumin seeds, garlic paste and Dania jeera powder, fenugreek powder and add hinge fry it for 1 minute then switch off the flame.
  4. Take wide bowl add fried bitter guard pieces, salt, red chili powder, and fried seasonings mix it well. Finally add lemon juice mix it well
  5. You can serve it hot plain rice with oil.. .
