Green sorrel leaves dal (chukka kura pappu)








Ingredients
Quantity
Green sorrel leaves (chukka kura)
1 bunch
Tour dal
1 cup
Green chili
4
Red chili powder
1 tea spoon
Salt
To taste
Mustard seeds
1 tea spoon
Hinge
Pinch
Turmeric
Pinch
Cumin seeds
 1 tea spoon
Fenugreek seeds
1 tea spoon

Preparation method        

  1. Wash the green sorrel leaves and cut into small pieces then green chili cut into slices keep it aside.
  2. Cook the tour dal and green sorrel leaves, turmeric, and add 2 cups of water and put it into the pressure cooker and cook it for 3 whistles. Then cool down the pressure and transfer to bowl and add water, green chilies salt and cook it for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the pan add oil to fry  then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, hinge red chili powder fry it for 2 minutes then switch off the flame and put it into the dal. And cook it for 5 more minutes then switch off the flame.
  4. You can serve it hot plain rice with ghee.
